Christmas-at-Mistletoe-Cove-KindleChristmas has arrived at Hope Island, promising snowflakes, surprises and plenty of seasonal joy. So snuggle up and fall in love at Mistletoe Cove …

Growing up on Hope Island, Eden Lancaster always believed that if you wished hard enough for something, dreams really could come true. But Eden’s greatest wish is also her biggest secret: she has been completely in love with her childhood friend, the charming and attractive Dougie Harrison, for as long as she can remember. And he has no idea.

When Dougie leaves his successful life in New York to return home to Hope Island for good, Eden can’t escape her feelings. Her heart is full of hope that her romantic dreams are finally, at long last, going to come true…

This Christmas could change everything. But can a lifelong friendship really turn into the perfect romance? And will Eden get the happily ever after she’s always wished for?

Thank you to Netgalley and the Publishers, Bookouture, for this review copy.  Also thank you to Kim for the opportunity to be part of the blog tour for this book!

Christmas at Mistletoe Bay is the 3rd book in the Hope Island series.  You don’t need to have read the other books of the series, but obviously it does help to understand the stories of the characters.

The first two books of the series concentrated on the stories of Bella and Isaac, and Freya and Rome.  This book is devoted to Eden!  Eden has lived on Hope Island all her life.  She has also been in love with her childhood friend, Dougie, for most of her life also.  He’s never shown any interest in her romantically, apart from one kiss many years before at Mistletoe Bay, after which he left to live in New York.  Dougie has now returned from New York for good.  Eden hopes that her dreams are finally going to come true and they can live happily ever after.

I love Holly Martin’s books, and have read all of this series.  It was lovely to finally get to Eden’s story!  All of the characters appears in all of the books, so by the time I’ve got to this book, you already know them so well.  This was also my first Christmas book of the year, but to be honest I didn’t see it as a Christmas book – I was so busy being caught up in Eden and Dougie’s romance that I forgot it was even based at Christmas! – so for all those who are saying that it’s too early to read a Christmas book, this is the ideal one to ease you in gently!!

As normal in all of Holly’s books, the male lead is absolutely gorgeous, handsome and the ideal man!  I’ve said it about Isaac and Rome in the previous two books, and whilst we have met Dougie in both of those books, you see him in a different light in this instalment!  He’s loving, thoughtful, considerate and downright hot!  Do they only have men like this in the Scilly Isles??  If so, perhaps I should have moved there years ago!! 😉   As usual, the course of true love never runs smoothly, but you know there is always going to be a happy ending!!

This is a story of love, friendship, romance and sex!  Also thrown in is some magical glittery Christmas fairy dust…..what more could you want in a book!  The setting is perfect, the characters are perfect and the story is perfect.  Don’t leave this book till Christmas, read it now!!

Five Stars!
